Changing Times

 In December of 2010, Tim's dad remarried.  Tim's mom had died in May 2009.  It was an adjustment for everyone but it is good that his dad is not alone. But I want this post to be just a piece of family history.  This is Tim, his dad Sonny, and his brother Dave just before the wedding.

Sonny has three sisters, Marie, Loretta, and Norma (but she goes by Babe).  These sisters and Sonny all live in the same little town.  They are close.  Though Tim and Dave are the only children in their family, these sisters each had many children. Loretta, raised all of hers on her own as her husband passed at a very young age.  In fact, Loretta has lost more than one of her children as well so she knows grief. But she is a fine example of someone who has endured. I really have a lot of respect for her.  And because she was a nurse, she helped Sonny a lot during the time he had to care for Tim's sick mother.

Soon after this wedding, both Marie and Babe lost their husbands, within days of each other in January 2011.  I found it interesting how quickly life changes for people.  Loretta has been used to being alone, Sonny was newly alone and then no longer through a new marriage, then Marie and Babe found themselves suddenly alone.

But they all have each other for support and strength.  Because that is what family does.
