DANG, FETCH, OH MY HECK!

We are a not so much a musical family, as we are a family who loves music. Nevertheless, we continue to pursue our interests, much to the dismay, perhaps, of our neighbors. There have been pianos, french horns, trumpets, guitars and drums over the years. No, we have not seen the likes of a flute or a violin, the more soothing species. You don't have a household of boys select those in 5th grade band. And as they reach teenagers, we simply grow into drums and guitars.

Brandon has wanted a full set of drums since his first little set he got at about age 7.

He graduated from that little set to an electronic set that seemed brilliant in his parent's eyes because they were smaller and fit in his room better as well as coming with a set of headphones that would allow him listening pleasure when no one else desired that.
One time, one of Chris' friends brought his entire full sized set over for our enjoyment, or rather, so they could have "band practice". There was only one place they fit, our empty den, and so every time someone walked by, they had to sit down and pound. I tolerated these drums, which were very hard to move, for about a month. Then it was time for their "band practice" to move to another house. Brandon longed for a set like that. And so he has been checking on prices for a good used set and saving, saving, saving. Then he spoke to a neighbor/friend, who had a good used set he no longer wanted and sold them to Brandon for a smokin' deal! DANG! Lucky us! And so he was able to buy these drums much sooner than expected. We thought he had a good long time of saving before we would see the likes of a full sized drum set in our house. FETCH!
Now we are enjoying the beat of Brandon's drums, and so are the neighbors as we made him leave them out in our single garage/storage shed. OH MY HECK!
