Wrestling season means tournaments. They can be long and draining. This particular tournament was over a Friday and Saturday. But it was an exciting one for Brandon's team. They took first place in the team part that happened on Friday. (By the way, it looks like there were not too many spectators but that is because we all sit on one side the of the gym, the side I was on taking the pictures)
Then it was time for the individual places. They wrestled for their places all day Saturday. Those team members wrestling for first or second even got to change into their brand new championship singlets all in white! (See Brandon in top picture)
When it was all over, each weight group got on the podium for their placement. Brandon took 2nd place. But it was a close one. I would say Mr. 1st place and he were evenly matched. In the end, though, the first placer got the most points and Brandon was 2nd in his weight group. And through it all, these boys got to be pretty good friends.
