Lake Powell

Our family is not fancy.

We don't do European vacations or trips to Hawaii.

It seems like we squeeze in a vacation every few years only between scout camps, EFY, missions, and other various summer activites.

Sometimes the finances don't allow for much more than a trip to visit family or celebrate significant milestones like 50th wedding anniversaries and whatnot.

But this year we planned a trip to Lake Powell and it was a whole lot of fun.
Even in spite of the fact that we did some camping. Whew, this is NOT my favorite thing.
And it was August so it was HOT!
But the water was cool and the nights cooled off a little.......well, if you were outside your tent, that is.
But our view was spectacular from our tent, 5 stars!

This is the gang that went, minus me in the picture as I was behind the camera. As you can see, we females were rather outnumbered.

The weather got a little "iffy" one afternoon.  When we returned to our campsite, our stuff was blown everywhere! But we had secured the boat in the marina and hoped for the best.

Some attempted wake surfing.  But our rope was too long.

Jet skis, tubing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or just plain relaxing on the boat made this a great vacation for all.
